If you like cheese this is the place to go.. Watch it being made, then choose from the spectacular selection on offer. Out of Covid times you can sit on the terrace and enjoy the views and the good food.
Delicious cheese to buy and nice shop assistants who also advise you on taste.
The cheese selection is relatively small, but the taste is great! Highly recommend the red cheese and the very salty old cheese, unfortunately I forgot what they are called.
Fresh real. Also open on Sundays. Friendly staff and very good advice. Lots of information on cheese and cheese production. Also with proof of origin. You can taste that too.
Great cheese! Good / large selection.
Very well selected regional offer, friendly service
Unfortunately, due to Corona, they are no longer allowed to give out cheese to taste 😔 Otherwise very good advice and delicious cheese 🤤
As always, delicious cheese from friendly shop assistants!
Very nice shop assistants. The cheese selection is quite large. The view from the sales room of the milk kettles and the hall in which the cheese is made is also impressive.
Due to the corona virus, it was unfortunately not possible to watch the cheese being made. The quark cake tasted very good. 👍
Absolutely unfriendly! My wife was standing in the queue on the marking line and not behind it. Then the serving woman snapped at us in the command tone, we should step behind the line. The next customers were about 2.5 meters (!) Further at the counter. By the way, standing next to each other is not a problem. There's a barrier tape in between. It doesn't get any more stupid !! We then put the goods back and left.
Nice to see how a beautiful regional product is made here. Very tasty.
Nice shop with delicious cheese. Nice and competent service. Parking space available.
Parking space contrary to Landvergnügen App can only be used after opening times. No notice in the Landvergnügen app. Therefore very unsightly action. But they can just afford it ...
This lovely cheese factory is one of the must places to visit in this area! For myself, I got to visited during one of the winters right after my visit to the Linderhof Palace and honestly would highly recommend! You get to see the cheese processing and can have some warm soups and seasonal goods here! Lovely people here and any cheese lovers must visit here! :)
We liked the cheese very much. Quality has its price.
It is interesting to see how cheese is made. Unfortunately, there are currently no guided tours due to Corona. But the cheese and yogurt are super tasty
Not a factory, you can look down and see liquid being stirred. No samples, over priced, they rush you through the line and staff was very unfriendly. Don't waste your time..
Good local cheese and you can have a peak into the area where they make the cheese
Great spot for fresh cheese and to see it being made.
The show dairy is certainly nice, but when we were visiting there was nothing to be seen due to the cleaning. Unfortunately, the shop does not invite you to linger longer. The cheese and butter were delicious !!!
Nice little cheese dairy currently no presentations because of corona. But you can look into the dairy through the window. That is interesting too and the cheese is delicious.
Unfortunately very unfriendly staff and under the cheese dairy we had a little more information ... Prices were okay, but we would have liked to have tried the cheese beforehand, then we could have bought different types.
Very nice staff. But describing the taste of cheese does not outweigh a try. That's why I bought it "blind" and hope it tastes good. Unfortunately, you cannot watch in the afternoon. This is currently only possible in the morning.
Good place to buy local cheese! And go to nearby cows. Walk in opposite garden of the Abey. Enjoy scenery!
Great cheeses. They have a large variety. They also have very nice sausages and salamis they make there.
Very nice !
Very good smoked cheese! We missed the tour.
Not really worth going...
Fresh cheese
The sausages were fantastic!
Very nice cheese, a pitty the didn't take cards as payment. Add cooling bags to the Sortiment so we could take more home. Yoghurt was delicious, cheese too
It was interesting to learn about the making of cheese. The cheese was tasty.
So so so so good. Now I want to move here. The Counter Clerk that waited on us was so helpful. She encouraged us to try several cheese samples to help with our selection. We also got butter and fresh apple juice. All of it top notch.
The place wasn't as big as we expected but was great. The sell honey, Jam, Macaroni, Tee, cakes, cheese and more. You can also buy a cake with coffee or some cheese dishes and eat in table inside or outside of the store.
Fresh cheese and breads, yogurt, butter available. They serve only till 4 pm.
Puzzled. I am not sure why this was on our list of 'destinations' or 'tourism opportunity'. There was no cheese making going on, staff was not very helpful, and - frankly - the cheese wasn't exceptional. And we are cheese lovers. I wouldn't use my time this way again.
Very good cheese and very friendly helpful staff
friendly staff, about 10 cheese for sale, coffee and homemade cake
We really enjoyed our visit. There are large windows where you can overlook the cheese making process - very fun to see. If you are there are 11:00am and there are 6 of you, there may be a presentation/overview. If that is not the case, you can ask to see a DVD of their process. We were able to watch this in English and enjoyed viewing it. The signs along the process step windows are in German. We just held up our iphone to the signs using the Google Translate camera feature and each sign was translated for us. Between that and the film we could follow the process steps. Cheeses are also offered for sale. We really had a fun stop - a good place to visit if you will be in Ettal (note - closed on Mondays)
They had a wonderful selection of cheeses! This business is located in a stunning, picturesque area, near a monastery and surrounded by breathtaking mountains. Back to the cheese factory...they also sell yogurts, quark, cheesecake, smoked ham, honey, charming milk mugs, tea, and the liquor made by the monks. The inside is very charming and the people working there were very friendly with warm smiles and they also spoke excellent English.
Yogurt and cheese are marvelous!
All the cheese was so delicious, made fresh on the property.
Fresh cheeses and you can see the diary cows outside! Ask for Onya!
A small nice cheese factory with a lunch spot. A quiet and quaint place with good views and excellent cheese. Definitely worth the trip.
Cheese.... what's not to love!!!
Nice place to visit after a hike. They offer a good selection of cheeses.
Excellent cheese and yogurts! Definitely worth visiting, but the staff are awful. Talk about not being friendly at all.
For cheese lovers! Small area selling homemade dairy produces; cheeses, yoghurt, butter and milk. There were cakes available too. We sampled the blueberry cheescake and thus far, the best cheescake ever. Not sweet at all and so tasty! Seating area available both inside and outside, with a nice view of the Alps.
Worth a visit combined with a hike up some of the mountains nearby!
